For the month of October my 28 24-hour interval experiment will be reading the entire Bible. When I finished my meditation experiment in August I had a strong desire to spend more fourth dimension in God'due south word. My plan for September was to read my Bible more than regularly every bit I experimented with no sugar and no caffeine. Nonetheless, by the end of the month I constitute myself back to my old comfortable place of self reliance. I didn't spend much time at all reading God's word and I wasn't trusting and depending on Jesus.

I've read through the Bible a couple of times before over the course of a year. Usually later on a while the reading turns into one more than thing I need to check off my daily to-do listing. I'1000 aware that this experiment may result in the same and I'll need to conscientious not to plough this into something that I'thousand doing to try to earn favor from God.

So why read the whole Bible in 28 days?

My purpose is to spend a significant amount of time reading the Bible each day and then that I'1000 more than fully immersed in God'southward word. This will hateful sacrificing time that I would ordinarily spend reading other books and listening to podcasts. Very likely other areas like cleaning will have a back seat as well for the calendar month. My hope is that my focus will be beginning and foremost on God each and every solar day and that spending this fourth dimension reading Scripture will re-awaken my desire to truly know Jesus.

I also await that I will accept a new understanding of Scripture by reading through the entire Bible in a relatively curt period of time. I realize that I'll be missing a lot of details and that there is nifty value in meditating over just a few verses. The purpose of this experiment is to see the broader view of God's story and I hope to have a new perspective as a result.

How will I do information technology?

In many means I don't know if I can do this. I've outlined my rough plan below but I'k not setting hard goals of what to finish each day. I'g going to read as much as I tin can each day and volition try to keep a relaxed mental attitude almost information technology because I actually want to enjoy the reading and not feel pressured to just get through it. I'll exist reading the NKJV (New King James Version) because I also have that version in audio. So when I commute and walk the dog I tin can also mind to the reading of the Bible.
